Our evening began in Peter Sichel's comfortable study in his New York town house. Where the candlelight was just right, the hi-fi was in the background, and the wine was delicious.

Men talked about who never existed. Men who existed and not even mentioned. Historical events that I know happened a certain way. Somehow, according to the encyclopedia, didn't happen; or happened another way. The things I remember are not delusions, they're the legitimate recollections of things as I remember them. But somehow, someway, this world seems to have turned upside-down for me. Well, not in every way you understand. The people are the same, the names, the streets, the mutual recollections we all have of people and events. It's as if there were.. Another world parallel to mine.

about

"Their music is rhythmically complex and light-feeling despite its heavy guitar and drums...their songs are danceable, jazzy, classical, experimental and even a tiny bit metal...There’s definitely a place for music that is made simply for enjoyment, and Anthropology get that."
-Kia McGinnis, SLUG Magazine
www.slugmag.com/articles/4587/All-Ages-Localized.html?page=2

"This type of Midwestern math-pop made by and for music eggheads often goes unexplored by musicians shoehorned into bands who don’t have the same penchant for shredding in some perversely weird time signature or really appreciate near–blast beat double kick drum or two-handed tapping in a pop format. Every once in a while, those musicians find each other and the racket is beautiful."
–Ryan Hall, SLUG Magazine
www.slugmag.com/articles/6847/Anthropology.html

"'KOKEKOKKO' propels itself forward with purposeful energy, and includes a dreamy interlude in the middle that creates a nice resting point. Genre-hopper 'Bow Do Doo' flips between smooth jazz and muscular metal-style guitar riffs."
-Kolbie Stonehocker, City Weekly
www.cityweekly.net/utah/article-424-18329-anthropology-max-pain-the-groovies.html

"Despite only being a high school band (as talented as they were), their shows were as much a testament to [Kilby Court's] illusive power as any other. Anthropology, lit by the iconic Kilby Court Christmas lights, rocked the house for a brief 50 minutes that any of my old friends and acquaintances will undoubtedly remember five years out."
-Phillip Vernon, XFDR Magazine

"Sounds about the same as throwing 4 instruments down a cliff"
- Patrick Samdos
